A visit to the Carriageworks took me by surprise. This industrial, multi-purpose contemporary art and exhibition space is housed in the old Eveleigh railway yard. Open daily to the public there is always something captivating and stimulating in this inspiring space. Artists from Australia and abroad have exhibited their work here. Many of the commissioned artwork on display is artist-led and visitors are encouraged to engage and interact with the artwork.
I love the industrial look of the space where many of the old railway original features such as the ironwork and exposed brick details still remain today.
