Auckland is located in the North Island of New Zealand and it is the largest urban area in terms of population in the country. Roughly about 1.5 million people or about 32 % of the country's population call the 'City of Sails' home. Due to its location that is surrounded by water and two harbours: Manukau and Waitemata harbours, Auckland is popular for leisure activities and its laid-back lifestyle. When you are in Auckland you are never far away from a beach. The landscape is varied and beautiful, from the unspoiled bush territory of Waitakere ranges to the islands of the Hauraki Gulf.
