White Cliffs of Dover

The white cliffs of Dover, one of the world's famous coastlines look out into the English Channel. Arriving at the high white chalk cliffs you can see ships criss crossing the channel between England and France. On a fine day the French coast is visible from Dover. The coastal path along the cliffs provides a breathtaking view of the cliffs, the grassland and many varieties of plants and insects. Here you will also find the South Foreland lighthouse, one of the first lighthouses in the world that uses electricity.
